DocuSign in e-signature workflows
DocuSign is the dominant e-signature platform across enterprise and mid-market. Its depth in workflow customization, integration breadth, and compliance certifications has made it the signature platform of record for most organizations running document-intensive workflows.
How Thoughtwave integrates DocuSign
Our engagements cover:
- DocuSign eSignature API for programmatic envelope creation, sending, and tracking.
- Template management for workflows requiring consistent document generation at scale.
- Webhooks for event-driven integration on envelope status changes.
- Integration with CRM and ERP systems where contracts flow from Salesforce, Dynamics, or SAP.
- TWSS PropertyGenie AI integration for listing agreements and real estate e-signature workflows.
Authentication and governance
DocuSign integration uses OAuth 2.0 or JWT authentication with scoped API access. Enterprise deployments align to the client's e-signature governance and compliance requirements (21 CFR Part 11 for life sciences, ESIGN and UETA for U.S. commercial use).
Why DocuSign remains the default
The e-signature category has alternatives (HelloSign/Dropbox Sign, Adobe Sign), but DocuSign's integration breadth and enterprise governance posture typically keep it the incumbent. For greenfield deployments without strong vendor preference, our engagements evaluate empirically; for clients already on DocuSign, we integrate around it.
