Job Title: Storage and Backup Management Lead

Location: San Francisco, CA 

 Duration:  4 months

Rate: Open

Storage and Backup Management Lead - Manage the offshore team providing storage management services for the client

Basic Responsibilities:

• On-site contact for all issues related to client’s storage outsourcing service  
• Provide escalation and communication around storage related outages and incidents.  
• Develop and maintain relationships with client directors and executives responsible for the client infrastructure.  
• Identify and implement improvement initiatives for the storage team.  
• Experience architecting, implementing and managing backup and archive processes and policies in a large dataset environment.  
• Oversight and direction of the Disaster Recovery/Business Resumption plan as it relates to the data storage infrastructure.

 Basic Qualifications:  

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure operations.  
• 3+ years of hands-on experience installing, configuring, and administrating a combination of NAS and SAN Storage in a large scale heterogeneous environment.  
• 3+ years experience with Storage System design, performance analysis, capacity planning and disaster recovery planning  
• Experience with Network Appliance technologies including FCP, CIFS, NFS, Ontap, SnapMirror, SnapClone, and SnapLock. 
• Experience with Volume Managers: Veritas/Symantec, Solaris SVM, LVM, Microsoft LDM  
• Strong leadership skills

Additional Preferred Skill Requirements:  

• NetApp Certification  
• Experince with Hitachi Storage Systems  
• Microsoft Certified Professional  
• Bachelor’s Degree
