Job Title: Sr. BizTalk Developer
Location: Princeton, NJ
Duration: 6 Months (C-T-H)
Rate: Open
Skills & Experience:
- Strong overall understanding of BizTalk architecture and core components, pub/sub architecture, content based-routing, maps, schemas, promoted properties, distinguished fields
- Strong understanding of orchestrations and when to use them. How to use transactions and scopes; what are persistence points; wow to handle exceptions; direct binding
- Some understanding of messaging patterns such as aggregator, splitter, convoy, etc
- Understanding how to process flat files
- Good knowledge of Business Rules Engine (BRE) and how to use it
- Basic knowledge of Business Activity Monitoring (BAM), how activities are defined and how data is captured within application, how to aggregate data
- Best practices: candidate should have some good understanding of development best practices, how to build loosely coupled, flexible solutions
- SQL Server experience
- Familiarity with Web Services/SOAP/WCF
Expected to be responsible for adhering to SDLC methodology:
- Work with Enterprise Solution Design team to identify architecture for BizTalk Implementations as an integral component of Enterprise Shared Services. Insure the IT solutions perform to expectations
- Work as part of a shared services team in the design of complex business services focusing on BizTalk technology
- Design, customize, develop, and test BizTalk services in a multi-tier software systems environment.
- Prepare documentation conforming to the IT SDLC for design, development, and testing by internal or external entities
- Apply industry standard analysis, architecture, and development techniques to assist in providing optimum solutions
- Create detailed integration test plans
- The candidate is expected to demonstrate technical expertise, addressing problems related to BizTalk development, configuration, performance, systems integration
- Interact with other functional areas (e.g., R&D, QA, Data Mgmt, EAO, etc.) in the design and deployment of BizTalk as an enterprise Shared Service
- Incumbent is expected to interact with diverse groups in IT organization, be able to apply expertise in BizTalk to address business needs at application as well as enterprise solution level
- Incumbent is expected to interact with third party vendors, Client clients, and Client partners to ensure the success of B2B integrations of key Client capabilities
- Must demonstrate commitment to software development best practices, including documentation, reusable code design, test driven development, and integrated software testing
- Must demonstrate strong problem solving ability, logic and analytical skills.
- Must be skilled in BizTalk, and .Net development
- .Net experience desired. J2EE experience is a plus. Experience with Enterprise Shared Services is desired
Other Abilities required:
- The ideal candidate(s) must have at least 8-10 years of progressively diverse analysis, development, and testing experience using Java and Web technologies.
- The person must demonstrate strong knowledge and experience with the responsibilities outlined above
- The candidate must have significant experience with technologies listed.

- Microsoft ESB Guidance 1.0 or Microsoft ESB 2.0 Toolkit (a big plus)
