Job Title: Project Manager - Storage and Database

Duration: 12 months

Rate:  Open

Interview process: Must be local and able to interview in-person.

Position Overview Skills & Exp:

• Project Manager will lead Storage and Database Engineering projects, to include projects such as SQL Tier 1 project (database and server components), Storage Resource Management (SRM), and Archiving (Enterprise/Email), Netbackup 7 upgrade.

Position Expectations:

• Ideal candidate follows clients process to plan, execute, and track one or more projects.
• Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Manages risk and issues, through effective communication and tracking with the use of issue logs, risk register, etc.
• Manages day-to-day aspects of a project and scope.
• Schedules and facilitates meetings with project participants and stakeholders.
• Ensures all project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
• Creates and delivers status reports.
• Works with Finance & Accounting to create Cost Benefit Analysis and Project Estimates.
• Tracks and reports team hours and expenses on a monthly basis.
• Manages project budget.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience managing IT projects, preferably database, storage, and/or backup related projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading small- to medium-sized technology (preferably storage or backup-related) projects in support of business initiatives.
• Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, collaboration and presentation skills, and project management skills
• Ability to create and maintain positive and professional business relationships with internal associates, external customers, and vendors.
