Job Title: Sr. Java/J2EE Developer
Location: Irvine, CA
Duration: 12 months
Rate: $72/hr c2c
Interview process: MUST be local /candidate must confirm they are in a city in LA or Orange County and be able to interview in-person with 1-2 day notice!
Desired candidates will exhibit strong software development skills and demonstrate a solid understanding of the technologies and concepts listed below:
- Java/J2EE server-side development
- Advanced knowledge of high performance Java development techniques including: multithreading, batch operations, internal asynchronous queues, stream processing techniques
- Strong SQL skills including familiarity with Sybase and/or Oracle a plus
- Strong knowledge of Hibernate configuration and performance tuning
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- BEA Web Logic and Web Services
- Standard Java design patterns
- J-Unit Testing and automation
- IBM Eclipse based Rational Application Developer (RAD 6.x) Java IDE
- Understanding of multi-tier system architectures (N-Tier)
- 7 plus years experience
- Rapid application development methodology experience is a plus
- Knowledge of c#, .NET and Flex are a plus
- Prior experience with Autosys or similar enterprise level scheduler is a plus
- The ideal candidate is a senior level contributor who can work well and collaborate well on a team; who has very good communication skills and is able to take work direction at a high level; and is able to quickly learn a complex environment (AFTP is one of our most complex systems).
