Job description:
- As a member of their Business Intelligence Solutions team you will be a part of a team responsible for designing, architecting and delivering BI solutions across a wide variety of disciplines to include – business requirements analysis, data warehouse and data mart design, data transformation / integration, dashboards, scorecards, analytic applications, operational monitors & alerts, common business language (i.e. metadata), etc.
Experience required:
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing front-end Business Intelligence solutions including dashboard & analytical applications utilizing the Business Objects suite of products
- Lead project teams in implementing solutions satisfying the specific needs of our business customers
- Work directly with customers to assess business needs and translate into effective technical solutions
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse constructs and best practices. Strong familiarity with design techniques and project approaches specific to Business Intelligence
- Develop and test programs to extract, cleanse, transform and load from source systems into EDW and into data marts
- Develop and implement tools and analytical application for accessing and analyzing information
- Participate in overall project management, time estimates, and resource scheduling for multiple concurrent projects
- Contributor to their BI Center of Excellence to further development of methodology, standards, best practices and foster knowledge sharing across their BI team.
- The ability to mentor team members to grow overall skills
- Responsible for ensuring high levels of BI availability through support functions and in-depth testing, including on-call rotation participation
- Solid customer focus, teamwork, innovation, creativity, and relationship building
Skills required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
- Experience in BI related disciplines (data warehouse design, data integration, analytical applications, dashboards, scorecards, OLAP, reporting)
- Knowledge of the industry leading ETL and BI development tools
- IT development team member with business and technical expertise
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing business solutions
- Proficiency with SQL, Oracle, Netezza, Unix Development Skills, and Data Integration
- Strong Analytical and Trouble shooting skills
- Experience with data modeling techniques for Data Warehousing
- Strong verbal and writing skills. The ability to speak comfortably with all levels of management
- Solid customer focus, teamwork, innovation, creativity, and relationship building
- Direct experience with one or more of the following: IBM DataStage ETL Tool, Netezza, Data Warehouse Appliance, Business Objects Web Intelligence and Universe Development, and BI Architecture & Administration
