Job Title: Purchasing Manager
Location: NYC
Duration: Full-time
Compensation: $100-135k + bonus (they might be able to go higher on base)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will report to the head of Technology Infrastructure with responsibilities to include the following:
· Managing the purchasing process for all technology related expenses, including price negotiation, issuing of POs, and working with accounting to ensure that invoices are paid in a timely manner
· Working with the technology, and legal departments to negotiate terms for contracts and service agreements
· Managing the relationship with our parent company’s purchasing department and determining when it is appropriate to leverage their pricing and contracts.
· Maintaining vendor relationships to ensure responsive service and timely resolution of all issues
· Maintaining calendars of service, contract, maintenance, warranty, lease, and license renewals
· Reporting on expenses and assisting in developing technology budgets
· Asset tracking and reporting
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
The right candidate will have the following qualifications:
· Experience in a purchasing role that preferably includes technology, market data, and telecom purchasing
· Strong interpersonal skills and experience managing vendor relationships
· Experience with purchasing, accounting, and asset management applications
· Strong Excel skills, including importing, exporting, and linking to data, formatting worksheets, working with advanced formulas, and creating pivot tables and charts
· Understanding of basic accounting including, expense allocation, capitalization, amortization, and depreciation
· Excellent time management and organizational skills
· Strong technical skills and the ability to leverage technology to systematize and automate repetitive tasks
· Unimpeachable integrity
