Detail Job Description:
Senior Java Developer will be responsible for analysis, design, implementation, testing and maintenance of internal and external web-based applications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Primary areas of responsibility include customer self-service applications and web-based interfaces into our subscriber management system for use by customer care agents and subscribers.
· Will be expected to participate in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle
· Performs other duties as assigned
· Full system life cycle development of customer self-service and customer care center applications.
· Work with business analysts to develop detailed technical specifications based on functional user requirements.
· Develop system and object models to support proposed architecture.
· Develop conceptual, logical and physical data models. Develop SQL queries and stored procedures for efficient data access.
Skills & Experience:
· 6+ years – Java/J2EE (Servlets), JSP, development experience.
· 2+ years - Spring and Hibernate
· 3 + years - AJAX, CSS and JavaScript.
· 6 + year - Strong skills in SQL and common database technologies (SQL Server)
· 6 + years - XML, XML parsing/processing
· 6+ years -HTML, JavaScript, strong understanding of browser compatibility issues.
· Must have strong structured methodology experience.
· Strong OO design skills
· Experience configuring and administering application servers. Sun Application Server preferred.
· UNIX experience.
· Perl scripting
· Source code control systems: CVS, VSS
· Build processes and Ant.
· Familiarity with current Java IDE environments
· User interface design and rapid prototyping experience
