Job Title: MS SQL DBA
Location: Orlando, FL
Duration: 9 Months
Rate: DOE
Description of Contractor Duties:
- The DBA contractor should be skilled in all DBA-related tasks such as DB monitoring, alerts, backups & restores, DB refreshes/copies, scripting, and resolving issues/outages. Very importantly, the contractor must be proficient with SQL Server clusters. The contractor will be supporting many databases for sustainment and stability efforts.
- This contractor should work independently within a team, receiving general direction with periodic work product reviews. Ability to operate in a fast-paced project environment and be flexible in that environment. The work will include a significant amount of after-hours support, so the contractor must be very flexible for scheduling. Much of the work will be during the overnight hours.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years experience as a MS SQL Database Administrator.
- SQL 2000 – 5+ Years
- SQL2005 – 3+ Years
- SQL2008 – 1+ Years
- SQL Replication – 3+ Years
- Clustered databases – 3+ Years
- Matra (point of sale) – Any
